Education and Networking Sessions

"Speed Dating" for Families & Support Workers!

This event was the first of its kind and was created to present an opportunity for both family members looking for support workers and support workers looking for employment. The time spent together focused on meeting one and another while asking questions to seek out the best possible match. A “speed dating” approach was utilized to help establish as many connections as possible between families & support workers.  If you would like to be added as a support worker or family for our next ‘speed dating’ session, please contact us!

‘Recently we found ourselves without workers for my son with developmental/intellectual challenges. This has happened in the past but never all a once! Therefore, the search was on!! We attended a "speed dating" type event put on by TBFN which connected families in need, with potential support workers looking for work. I was pleasantly surprised to meet many individuals and also a new group which offered respite and some interesting new programs. We have attended some get togethers and so far, it's a success!’ Paulette Husfeldt
